News Release Innovate E-Commerce Co-Founders Named Finalists in Ernst & Young "Entrepreneur of the Year" Competition PITTSBURGH, PA The co-founders of business-to-business e-commerce consulting firm Innovate E-Commerce have been named finalists in the Western Pennsylvania 2001 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® Awards. William Claire, co-founder and CEO, and Karen Puchalsky, co-founder and President, are among the 29 finalists for the award. Winners will be announced Friday, June 29 at an awards banquet at the Westin Convention Center in Pittsburgh. "The Entrepreneur of the Year program recognizes entrepreneurs who have demonstrated excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities," said Jim Williams, managing partner of the Pittsburgh office of Ernst & Young, who announced the finalists. "We are pleased to recognize all of these notable and worthy entrepreneurs." Local award winners become eligible for the National Entrepreneur of the Year award, as well as other national category awards. All National Entrepreneur Of the Year finalists and award winners will be announced in November in Palm Springs, Calif., at the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of the year International Conference. "This award caps a year of growth and solidification for Innovate E-Commerce," said Karen Puchalsky, co-founder and President.
