Westwood of Innovate E-Commerce has been appointed to the board of directors
for the Greater Pittsburgh E-Commerce Partners (GPEP).
A non-profit trade organization, GPEP is a forum for representatives
of local companies to meet and share information related to e-commerce
technologies. Westwood is the marketing manager of Innovate E-Commerce,
which she joined in 2000. The company provides Fortune 1000 businesses
with EDI and electronic business outsourcing (Innovate EDI Managed Services)
and state governments with Medicaid and Medicare Information Systems
management consulting (Innovate MMIS) and Independent Verification and
Validation (Innovate IV&V).
According to Bill Blackwell, president of GPEP, "Amber Westwood provides
a valuable contribution to our board. She helps to organize our quarterly
meetings, recruit speakers, and promote the events. Plus, in serving
on the board, she provides input that helps us to shape and grow our
organization for the future."
Originally focused on electronic data interchange (EDI) education and
networking, GPEP has evolved since its inception in 1990 to address
the needs of a variety of e-commerce technologies. Members include professionals
in project management, technology management and business areas of organizations
that have a stake in e-commerce.
