E-Commerce Support Analyst
(Internship Position)
Job Description
- System Support and Research
- Support production systems including resolving system problems utilizing an internal process tracking solution
- Assist Client Coordinators by working with local and remote users, analysts, senior programmers and clients in the analysis of processing problems or other technical issues
- Support internal and external clients during the implementation and utilization of E-Commerce applications and systems
- Review and become technically proficient in the use of all E-Commerce processing related software and communications platforms, products and processes deployed within the EDI Managed Services group
- Process Improvement
- Identify system areas that require enhancement and modification which will resolve and eliminate production support issues
- Develop and maintain process flow and system documentation
- Create and maintain required table setups within the processing infrastructure
- Schedule processing jobs for optimal performance
- Review process flow implementations (e.g. table and job configurations) for consistency and accuracy and to ensure the effective utilization of production systems
- Interact with Client Coordinators, and Lead Software Architects discussing potential process or program improvements
Requirements
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to get to the root of a problem, rather than stopping at the first symptom
- Demonstrated ability to understand comprehensive system architectures
- Willingness to jump in and recommend solutions that will prevent problems from recurring, rather than just correcting a current error
- Ability to interface with internal and external clients in a professional and knowledgeable manner
- Thorough understanding of Innovate E-Commerce's EDI Managed Services infrastructure, processes and procedures
- Possess excellent time management, project management and planning skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Project management experience is desired
- Experience with the latest Microsoft VB, SQL, operating systems, Project and Visio versions desired
- Knowledge of EDI, XML, EDIINT, GENTRAN for Windows NT and GXS Application Integrator is a strong plus
- On-call support on a rotational basis will be required
- Limited travel might be required
- Telecommuting will be considered

Innovate E-Commerce is looking for a resourceful E-Commerce Support Analyst that wants to grow with us. The right person will support our high volume, production environment and will be responsible for providing suggestions for optimizing program and process efficiencies and other process improvements. This new position requires excellent problem-solving skills, have a desire to tackle learning and improving complex and leading edge E-Commerce systems and demonstrate a willingness to jump in and get the job done. Due to the high visibility of this position, the candidate must also possess strong time, project management, organizational, client relationship and communication skills. Experience with the latest Microsoft VB, SQL databases and operating systems is strongly desired. This position will be based out of Pittsburgh, PA and might require limited travel. Telecommuting will be considered.Â
